(KENORA, ON) – On February 4, 2017 the Kenora Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a sexual assault complaint. Members of the Kenora Crime Unit and Kenora Street Crime Unit subsequently investigated the complaint. On February 10, 2017, 70 year old Claude TURCOTTE of Kenora was arrested and charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code:
7 counts of Adult Invitation to Sexual Touching under the Age of 16 contrary to section 152
Adult make Sexually Explicit Material available to Person Under 16 contrary to section 171.1(1)
Indecent Exposure to a Person Under 16 years contrary to section 173(2)
Sexual Assault contrary to section 271
The accused was held for a bail hearing on Monday February 13, 2017 to answer to the charges.
