(PLYMPTON- WYOMING, ON) – On December 28, 2016 members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a R.I.D.E check at Mandaumin Road and Confederation Line, Plympton- Wyoming.
At approximately 9:50 p.m. the OPP encountered a driver who had been operating a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado. In speaking with the driver and making observations of the interior of the vehicle, it was determined that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired due to the ingestion of a suspected narcotic.
As a result of the investigation the male driver, Clarke ROBBINS, 25 years-of-age of Sarnia, Ontario has been charged with alleged impaired operation of a motor vehicle by drug, possession of marihuana, have open liquor in motor vehicle, drive motor vehicle with no insurance, no licence and improper licence plate validation- two counts. He is to appear in the Sarnia Court on February 22, 2017 in order to answer to the allegations.
The OPP is reminding motorists that they will be vigilant in enforcing the impaired driving laws throughout the course of the year; especially, during the festive season. Again, plan ahead if you decide to partake!
