(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) -On July 20, 2014 at approximately 9:15 a.m. a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling Highway 6 near Side Road 5, Centre Wellington Township. A 2004 Chevrolet was observed by police travelling northbound well above the posted speed limit of 80 km/h.
The officer locked the female driver on radar at 132 km/h.
Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Clarice DOYLE age 20 of Mapleton Township is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. She is to appear in Guelph Court on Aug. 20, 2014 to answer to the charge.
