On August 3rd, Police had to spend time taking down “wanted posters†from hydro poles around Wingham. Someone was posting posters indicating that a recently charged man was wanted and to call 911. This is in fact untrue. The man is not wanted. He was released on bail and has conditions he must comply with. In fact the person posting the posters is committing the offence of mischief as well as breaching the North Huron bylaw regarding signs. Anyone wishing to post signs in North Huron must first have the approval of the North Huron Property Standards Officer.
