(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) wishes to thank the public for their assistance in locating an 83 year old male with Alzheimer’s who wandered away from his residence located in the 100 block of Beckwith Street in Corunna.
The male was reported missing to police just after 6:00 a.m. this morning when family noticed he was not in the residence. Thanks to social media and tips from the public, within about 10 minutes the male was located by OPP safe in nearby Guthrie Park. He was taken to hospital by Lambton County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) as a precaution.
Lambton County OPP Inspector Scott Janssens says, “The public’s assistance is always very important in these situations. We are running against the clock when we get reports of missing people and in this case the public helped us locate the male very quickly.â€Â
The Lambton County OPP wishes to thank everyone who assisted the police this morning to locate the missing man.
