(CARRICK TWP, ON) – On January 6th, 2011 at 8:50 am, the South Bruce OPP received a report of overnight damage at the Walkerton Pentecostal Church along Highway 9 in Carrick Township. Sometime between the evening of January 5th, 2011 and the early morning hours of January 6th, 2011, the driveway and lawn were “ripped up†by spinning vehicle tires.
The South Bruce OPP is sending a reminder to motorists about the Stunt Driving legislation penalties. A driver charged with Stunt Driving is subject to a roadside 7 day vehicle impoundment and a 7 day licence suspension. Upon conviction; a fine between $2,000 and $10,000, potential for up to 6 months in jail, a further driver’s licence suspension of up to 2 years for a first conviction and 6 demerit points.
