At 10:41 PM on September 13th, a Wingham Police officer on patrol of Edward Street observed a motor vehicle and stopped it for a Highway Traffic Act violation.
As part of the investigation into the violation, the officer detected that the driver had been drinking and he was in breach of a condition of his probation. The driver was arrested and taken to Hanover Police Service for a breath test where it was determined that he was driving with more than the legal limit.
33 year old Christopher Young of Chepstow is charged with driving with more than 80 mgs in 100 ml of blood and breach of probation. He is to appear in court at the Wingham Town Hall on November 22nd to answer to the charges.
