Christopher St. Amant – Drunk Driving

(TOWN OF PENETANGUISHENE, ON) – On August 12, 2016 at 10:32 p.m. members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call of an impaired driver in the area of Sandy Bay Road in Penetanguishene, ON.

Police located the GMC crew cab pick-up truck a short time later on Robert Street West Penetanguishene, ON. Officers determined that the male driver had been drinking and a roadside test was conducted which resulted in a ‘Fail’. The driver was arrested and taken to Southern Georgian Bay OPP for further tests.

As a result of these tests, Christopher St. Amant (age 52) of Penetanguishene, ON is charged with:

Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 25, 2016 in Midland, ON.
