(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Saturday, June 13, 2015 at approximately 7:39 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver operating a blue 1998 Ford Windstar mini-van on Hwy. 6 & 21 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
Police observed the suspect vehicle pull into the parking lot of a business on the Sunset Strip at which time they stopped the vehicle and spoke with the lone driver.
Investigation revealed the driver, who was found to have been drinking alcohol, was suspended from driving since 2007 for unpaid fines.
After failing a roadside breath test, the driver was taken to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for further breath tests.
Christopher PAULNITZ, 52, of the Township of Chatsworth, was charged with driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood. He was also charged with driving while under suspension under the Highway Traffic Act.
