(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On January 10, 2014, just before 8:00 p.m., a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped to speak with a male walking on Highway 40 near Pinehurst Line, while on patrol in the area.
Subsequent OPP traffic investigation revealed that the male, 31 year old Christopher NEWBY, from Chatham, was wanted on an outstanding warrants with another Police agency.
Further investigation also revealed that the male was in possession of a small quantity of suspected marihuana and drug paraphernalia. The male was arrested on the outstanding warrants, and also charged with Possession of Marihuana.
He is scheduled to appear in a Chatham court on February 12, 2015, to answer to the charge.
