(OTONABEE-SOUTH MONAGHAN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a possible impaired driver heading to an address on Villiers Line yesterday shortly after 2:00pm.
Responding officers located the suspect vehicle as it turned from Peterborough County Road 2 onto Villiers Line. The driver was found to have been drinking. The male was also bound by bail conditions which prohibit alcohol consumption and from attending an address in the area. Christopher JONES (age 30) of Campbellford was arrested and has been charged with:
Driving with more than 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood
Fail to comply with recognizance conditions – 2 counts
Novice driver with more than zero blood/alcohol concentration
Owner operate a vehicle with no insurance
Drive unsafe vehicle
The accused was held in custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough, Ontario later today for a bail hearing.
