(THAMESFORD, ON.) – On April 25, 2015 at approximately 6:57 p.m. Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision between an off-road dirt bike and a hydro pole near the corner of Dundas Street and Stanley Street in Thamesford.
As a result of investigation, police have charged the 26 year old male driver, Christopher GELDART of Thames Centre under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:
Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood ~ Criminal Code of Canada
Drive while under suspension ~ Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
Drive motor vehicle – no licence ~ HTA
Unlawfully drive Off Road Vehicle on highway – HTA
Operate a motor vehicle without insurance ~ Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
The male was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on May 5, 2015.
