Christopher Brown & Chelsi Godden: 133 in and 80

(NICHOL TWP, ON) On Friday June 7, 2013 at approximately 9:53pm members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting moving radar and monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near the 4th Line of Nichol Twp. At this time and location Constable Ian Donaldson observed 2 north bound vehicles that were in close proximity to each other, travelling well above the speed limit. Police clocked the first vehicle, a 2003 Ford Ranger on radar at 134 km/h in an 80 km/h zone and the second, a 2008 Saturn Astra on radar at 133 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. Both vehicles were stopped by police and the drivers’ licences were suspended and vehicles seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.

Christopher Brown aged 60 of Fergus has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial court on July 17, 2013 to answer to the charge.

Chelsi Godden aged 18 of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial court on July 7, 2013 to answer to the charge.
