(ARMOUR TWP, ON) – On Saturday April 12, 2014 at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was patrolling Highway 11, Armour Township when they stopped a vehicle, a Volkswagen Golf for travelling at a very high rate of speed. Police spoke to the driver and subsequently arrested him for having more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
OPP charged, Christian WOJTASIK, 25, of Mississauga, Ontario with drive with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code. The driver was also charged with race a motor vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sundridge Ontario on Thursday May 29, 2014.
