Chris WHALEN – Refuse To Blow

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On June 30, 2018, at approximately 2:35 AM, officers were conducting patrol in the Town of Fort Frances, when they observed a pick-up truck travelling at a high rate of speed on Second Street. Officers followed the vehicle until they were able to conduct a vehicle stop at a residence on Third Street. Officers spoke with the male driver, and determined that he had been consuming alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Chris WHALEN, 37 years of age, of Fort Frances, has been charged with the following:

Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample contrary to section 254(2) of the Criminal Code,

Three offences under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario,

One offence under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act of Ontario.

The accused was summonsed to court in answer to the charges and is scheduled to attend court at the Fort Frances Ontario Court of Justice on July 30, 2018.
