Child On Bicycle Hit By Minivan

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), County of Brant detachment is investigating a Mini-van vs bicycle collision which occurred on Mulberry Street in Paris in the County of Brant at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Thursday 01 October 2015.

Police attended and found that a 2007 Hyundai Mini-van being operated by 32 year old Paris women was traveling on Mulberry Street when it was struck by a child riding a bicycle exiting from a private driveway.

The child operating the bicycle was transported to an area Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of mini-van was not hurt.

The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reminds all drivers to be extra careful and observant for children on or near roadways.

The OPP also encourages all parents and caregivers to take some time to talk to their children on the importance of being safe while riding their bicycles.
