(TAY TOWNSHIP) – On Monday April 24, 2017 at approximately 9:17 p.m. officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint from a concerned citizen. The caller’s attention was drawn to the driving behaviour of a motorist on Highway 400 Northbound in the area of Forbes Road in Springwater Township, ON.
Police located the vehicle a short time later on Sturgeon Bay Road in Tay Township, Ontario. The lone female driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested by police. The vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.

Driving While Ability Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
Care or Control over 80 mgs. contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on May 11, 2017 in Midland, ON.
