(PEMBROKE, ON) – On the evening of June 19, 2016 an Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol in the City of Pembroke when the officer was flagged down by a witness who reported two males had just departed the Kinsmen Pool parking lot after being in a physical confrontation.
One male was reported to have left in a motor vehicle and one left on foot. The male on foot was located on McKay Street in Pembroke and found to be in possession of drugs and breaching his probation. Chayton Gerald GEOFFREY, age 22 of Madawaska Valley Township, was taken into custody and charged with the following Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) charges:
Breach of Probation – 2 counts
Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Morphine
He was held for a bail hearing on June 20, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke and released on a Recognizance of Bail with a future court date of June 28, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
