(CHATSWORTH, ON) – Administrative operations are temporarily suspended at the Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Chatsworth due to exhaust fumes until further notice.
The Chatsworth Fire Department and Union Gas attended the Detachment after officers inside the building detected a strong gas-like odour around 7:30 last night. Two heating units on the roof were completely encased in snow resulting in exhaust fumes recycling into the building.
Work is being done to rectify the problem. In the meantime, the Detachment is closed to walk-in traffic as employees have been evacuated for health and safety reasons.
