A Chatham woman faces multiple charges following a traffic stop in Chatham yesterday.
At about 4:20 p.m. an officer conducted a routine traffic stop on Wilson Avenue in Chatham. It was learned that the licence plates affixed to the vehicle did not belong to it. Further investigation revealed the driver did not have insurance.
A 37-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with using plates not authorized for a vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and failing to apply for a permit on becoming the owner of the motor vehicle. The vehicle was towed and impounded.
