A Chatham man faces multiple charges following a traffic stop in Chatham yesterday.
At about 9:45 p.m. an officer conducted a routine traffic stop on Victoria Avenue. During the investigation it was learned the driver is serving two licence suspensions, he did not have insurance for the vehicle, and the validation sticker on the licence plate expired almost two years ago.
A 31-year-old Chatham man has been charged with driving while under suspension (two counts), operating a motor vehicle without insurance, driving a motor vehicle with expired validation, and failing to surrender the permit for the vehicle.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days in accordance with Ontario’s Vehicle Impoundment Program.
