At approximately 1250hrs yesterday members of the community patrol division attended an address on Thames Street, Chatham in regards to a potential assault complaint. Upon arrival officers were met by an 18 year old male and a 17 year old Female, both from Chatham. Information received suggests both parties were involved in a verbal argument which escalated into the male assaulting the female. The accused was arrested, charged with one (1) count of Assault and has been released with a future court date. Neither party required medical attention.
