Man arrested for Breach of Probation Order CK15037403
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 32 year old Chatham man for breach of probation.
On Saturday, December 19, Police were dispatched to attend a West Street address in response to a domestic dispute. The 32 year old Chatham man entered into a probation order with several conditions. One of the conditions was not to contact the complainant in any manner except through a third party for child custody arrangements.
Through investigation, the officers verified the Chatham man communicated to the complainant via telephone calls and text messages. The Chatham man was arrested for failing to comply with the probation order, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and later released with a future court date to answer to the charge.
Man Charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle CK15037386
On Saturday, December 19, at approximately 10:00pm, police were dispatched to an area on Pain Court Line, in response to a roll over, single motor vehicle collision.
The driver, 34 year old Chatham man, was transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance –PGH Campus, for observations. Through investigation, the officer reached the grounds to believe the driver’s ability to operate his motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. Breath tests were administered and the driver was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle as well as well as Over 80. The man was later released from custody with a future court date to answer to the charges.
Theft of Barbeque CK15037427
On Sunday, December 20, at approximately 5:30am, a 71 year old Wallaceburg man reported a theft of his barbecue from his backyard. The theft occurred on Westcourt Blvd, in Wallaceburg.

Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) CK15037386
On December 19th, 2015 Police conducted spot checks within the Municipality. Attention was directed on detecting & reducing Impaired Driving. Approximately 175 vehicles were checked, with one test administered, along with one drug seizure and one charge laid for an unrelated Highway Traffic Act offence.
