The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 147 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Six people were arrested.
Man Turns Himself In and Stolen Property Recovered CK16026491
As previously released, on August 12th and August 13th two men attended Rockets Sports Cards on Queen Street in Chatham and stole various cards valued at approximately $500.
Last night around 8:30 p.m. due to the power of social media, a man attended police headquarters and turned himself in. He also turned over the stolen cards.
The 24-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and two counts of possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He was released pending a future court date of September 21, 2016.
Man Arrested from CKPS Wanted List CK16026610
Yesterday afternoon, police located the man on Richmond Street in Chatham. He was arrested on outstanding warrants for failing to comply, breach of probation and failing to attend court.
The 26-year-old Chatham man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Woman Threatens Officer’s Family CK16026630
Last night, police responded to a domestic disturbance in Dover Township. Though investigation, police learned that the intoxicated woman assaulted her common-law husband.
The woman was arrested and while being transported to police headquarters she threatened to cause harm to the officer’s family and residence.
The 32-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with assault and two counts of intimidation of a justice system participant. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Woman Charged with Domestic Related Offences CK16026668
Just before midnight last night, a verbal argument began between the married couple at their residence in Wallaceburg. The dispute escalated into a physical altercation as the woman assaulted the man, grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened him. The man ran to the bedroom where both their children were sleeping and closed the door. The woman stabbed the knife into the door breaking off the tip. Police were called and the woman was arrested.
Through investigation, police learned that this was not the first time the man had been the victim of domestic violence.
The 33-year-old Wallaceburg woman has been charged with two counts of assault, two counts of uttering threats, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Stolen Vehicle in Tilbury CK16026677
Sometime between August 17, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. and August 18, 2016 at 2:30 a.m. unknown suspect(s) stole a silver 2003 Jeep Liberty from a residence on Mable Street. The vehicle was last seen with Ontario license plates BSMT 700.

Break and Enter into Chatham Business CK16026676
This morning around 2:15 a.m. police responded to an alarm at Home Hardware on Keil Drive South. Upon arrival, officers observed two shattered doors. The store was cleared and no one was found inside. The key holder did not report anything stolen at this time.
Damage has been estimated at $2000.

Sometime late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked shed on Crescent Lane and stole various tools valued at approximately $600.
