Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK16003895
On February 9, 2016 the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to abide by a daily curfew of 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Last night around 11:40 p.m. an officer on general patrol observed the man in the area of McNaughton Avenue and Sandy Street in Chatham. The 38-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Theft CK16003876
Last night around 5:30 p.m. the man entered Sobeys grocery store on Park Avenue West in Chatham. The man concealed several packages of meat and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for them. Total value of the meat was estimated at $200.
As the man fled the store, an officer observed him running across Lacroix Street with meat in his hand. The 33-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences CK16003845
Yesterday, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence to pick up some of his belongings. An argument erupted which escalated into a physical altercation. The man assaulted the woman, broke a door and picture frame. The man fled the residence prior to police arrival.
Through investigation, the woman disclosed that on the weekend, the man took her vehicle without consent and struck a hydro pole. The man failed to report the accident and threatened the woman if she called police.
Around 9:30 p.m. last night, police located the man and he was arrested and charged with theft of motor vehicle, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, uttering threats, mischief under $5000 and assault. The 23-year-old Chatham man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Break and Enter CK16003866
Yesterday morning around 4:00 a.m. the man entered a home uninvited on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham. The homeowner recognized the man and a physical altercation ensued. The man fled prior to police arrival.
The 24-year-old Chatham man was arrested shortly thereafter and charged with break and enter, assault and utter threats. He was held in custody pending bail hearing.
Break and Enter in Mitchell’s Bay CK16003842
Sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning, unknown suspect(s) forced their way into Parkside Restaurant causing $500 damage.
Once inside, the suspect(s) stole 25 bottles of alcohol valued at $1000.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle Found Burnt CK16003836
Sometime Sunday night between 9:30 p.m. and midnight, unknown suspect(s) stole a grey 2012 GMC Sierra pick-up truck from Elmwood Street in Tilbury.
Around 1:00 a.m. police responded to a vehicle fire on Sinclair Road. Through investigation, police learned that it was the stolen truck. The fire consumed the entire truck.
