The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 136 calls for service in the last 24 hours. 3 people were arrested.

Remembrance Day

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrants – CK16038309

On November 11th, 2016, at 3:20a.m., Police located a 19yr old male who was wanted on outstanding warrants with Chatham-Kent Police. The Warrants were for Break and Enter, Theft Under $5000, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000. The male is to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Theft in Chatham – CK16038253

On November 10th, 2016, at 6:20p.m., a 14yr old Chatham teen was confronted by an unknown male party behind the Sobeys on Lacroix Street. The suspect is described as a black male, 35-40 yrs. of age, wearing a red hoodie, carrying a red and black “Jordan” back pack, with black shoes and blue jeans. The suspect grabbed a sweater and cellphone belonging to the teen then left the area. There were no injuries reported.

Motor Vehicle Collision – CK16038216

On November 10th, 2016, at approximately 4:00p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred on the eastbound on-ramp of the 401 at Victoria Rd. Total damage for the collision is estimated at $20,000. Minor injuries were reported and one of the drivers was charged under the Highway Traffic Act.

Police responded to 8 motor vehicle collisions in the past 24hrs. Motorists are reminded to slow down and arrive safety, as the conditions begin to worsen throughout the fall.
