Motor Vehicle Collision on Erieau Road

On July 10th, at approximately 2040hrs Chatham-Kent Emergency crews responded to single vehicle collision on Erieau Road. A single male occupant left the road way while driving causing his vehicle to roll. The 27 year old Blenheim man escaped without injury but was found to be impaired by investigating officers. The man was arrested for Impaired Driving and subsequent breath tests yielded results of 175mg and 183mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.

The Blenheim man was additionally charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. He was released with a future court date.

Man Charged with Breaching Undertaking

Early July 10th Chatham-Kent Police attended the residence of a 19 year old Chatham man. The man is on release for weapon related charges and has a curfew attached to his release conditions. On attendance the man was found to not be home; further a handgun could be seen in plain view from the front door.

Police seized the firearm and found it to be a replica BB-gun Handgun. The 19 year old Chatham man was located at an address in Chatham and was arrested for breaching his curfew conditions. He was held pending a bail hearing.

Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences

On July 10th Chatham-Kent Police attended an address in Queens Line, Chatham to investigate information that a Domestic Incident had taken place. Through investigation Chatham-Kent Police were able to arrest and charge a 35 year old Chatham man with 12 domestic related offence.

Upon arriving to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters the man disclosed consuming a handful of sleeping pills prior to being arrested. The man was taken to Public General Hospital for observation. The man would be returned to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters when cleared medically and held pending a bail hearing.
