CHARGES LAID IN SHOPLIFTING INCIDENT

(Mindemoya, ON) – On Sunday January 19, 2014 at 11:25 am a male and female attended the Island Foodland Grocery Store in Mindemoya. While in the store they were allegedly captured on video surveillance to remove items from the shelves and place in a shopping bag. They then left the store without paying for the items

Manitoulin OPP was contacted after the subjects left the store. Officers attended the store and were able to identify the individuals from the video. As a result of this investigation OPP have charged two people one male and one female with the following offense

Charged with Theft Under $5000 is Stephen BEBONANG Age 36 of M’Chigeeng, Ontario.

Charged with Theft Under $5000 is Maxine PAIBOMSAI Age 31 of M’Chigeeng, Ontario.

Both persons were released on a Promise to Appear with an Undertaking with conditions. They are to appear at Gore Bay Provincial Court to answer to the charges.
