(CHATHAM, ON) On April 9, 2016, Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a fail to remain collision on Highway 401 near Queens Line.
The driver of a Nissan Pathfinder, which was traveling eastbound, reported he saw a tractor trailer gaining on him. The driver attempted to move out of the way when the tractor trailer collided with the rear bumper of vehicle causing it to spin and come to rest in the ditch.
The driver of the tractor trailer stopped briefly but then continued driving eastbound. The tractor trailer was located a short time later. Neither driver reported injuries
As a result, 21 year-old, Hukma RAM of Brapmton, ON was charged with:
•Careless Driving
•Fail to remain
The accused will appear in the Chatham Provincial Offences Court on Wednesday May 11th, 2016.
