(HAILEYBURY, ON) — Members with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Temiskaming Detachment have now charged one person in connection with the 2013 death of a Haileybury man.
The body of Christopher “Cripsy†PARSONS, aged 42 years, was found inside his Ferguson Avenue apartment at approximately 7:44 a.m. on June 4, 2013. As a result of the ongoing investigation, under the direction of Detective Inspector Mike Bickerton of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), Mathew James HAYES, aged 27 years, formerly of Cobalt has been charged with First Degree Murder under the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on July 11, 2014.
