Charges Laid In Break and Enter Investigation

(Marmora, ON) – Between December 28, 2014 and January 9, 2015 several break and enters occurred to two houses, a large park model trailer and an automotive repair garage, all of which are situated on a property on James Street in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake. The residences sustained damage and a large quantity of property was stolen including jewellery, electronics, tools, collector coins and war memorabilia.

On January 16, 2015 members of the Ontario Provincial Police Central Hastings Detachment with the assistance of the O.P.P Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine Team, executed three search warrants in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake.

As a result the following people were arrested and charged:

Twenty-two year old Harley BLODGETT of Marmora, ON

Break and Enter – Dwelling House

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Other Drugs

Nineteen year old John CRAWFORD of Marmora, ON and 23 year old Dylan POTTER of Marmora, ON

Break and Enter – Dwelling House

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

They will appear in Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville in mid-February 2015.

Forty year old Kevin KING of Marmora, ON

Break and Enter – Dwelling House

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Marihuana Over 30 grams

Trafficking in Schedule I Substance – Other Drugs.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing at Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville.
