(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On Thursday November 7, 2013, a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting radar enforcement on Highway 401 near Bloomfield Road.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., the officer observed a Chrysler vehicle traveling westbound that appeared to be exceeding the posted speed limit of 100 km/hr. Radar was used to confirm a speed of 160 km/hr.
Brendan RILEY, age 23, from Windsor, ON has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The driver’s licence has been suspended and vehicle impounded for a period of seven days, as per statute.
