(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – On Monday March 14 2016 at 01:56am, The Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic assault involving a chainsaw in Adjala Tosorontio Township.
A 39 year old male confronted a 39 year old female with a chainsaw threatening her life. The female was forced to flee the residence and call the Police.
The suspect male was located upon arrival by the Nottawasaga OPP and arrested at the scene.
He is charged with:
Assault with a Weapon
Uttering threats cause death or bodily harm
The male was held for bail and is to appear in the Provincial Court of Justice in Barrie on March 14 2016.
