(ORILLIA, ON) – Three years ago, nestled on the shores of Pigeon Lake, in the picturesque Karwartha Lakes Region, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers from Central Region gathered to provide soon-to-be grade 9 students with an opportunity and an experience that they hoped would shape and mold these young people in such a way that what they learned would carry over into adulthood.
Each detachment within the Region sends an officer and two students (one male and one female) to attend the camp. The students are selected by their teachers and the criteria is simple” says Chief Superintendent Blair
