(TOWSHIP OF MAPLETON, ON) – On November 8, 2017 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Mapleton Fire and Rescue and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services responded to a report of a serious single motor vehicle collision involving a Cement Truck on Wellington Road 10, South of Moorefield.
The vehicle was travelling northbound on County 10 when it left the roadway and went thru a guard rail, down an embankment. The male driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to Victoria Hospital in London by Air Ambulance.
County 10 between Concession 5 and Selinger Road will remain closed most of the day for road repairs and large payload removal.
The investigation is ongoing.
