Cathy Gillespie – Drunk Driving

(CALEDON, ON) – On March 17th, 2015 shortly after 9:30 pm, a concerned citizen contacted the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to report a possible impaired driver travelling southbound on Highway 10, entering the Valleywood area. Officers attended the area and located the vehicle parked inside the lit garage. Officers approached the front door and were met by a female who displayed signs of impairment. The female confirmed that she had just returned home and had consumed alcohol before operating the motor vehicle. The female further reported that she had not consumed any alcohol after her arrival home. Subsequently, the female was arrested and transported for testing.

In conclusion, Cathy Gillespie, 55, from Caledon was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Over 80.

The 90-day Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated resulting from the investigation

The accused was released and she is scheduled to make a first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on April 2nd, 2015.
