(BURK’S FALLS, ON) On Saturday November 2, 2013 an officer from the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police Detachment was patrolling the Village of Burk’s Falls, ON when he observed a vehicle south bound on Ontario Street speeding.
The officer stopped the vehicle and detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage on the driver. The officer arrested the driver for impaired operation and later released him.
Police charged Cassidy FERRIER (20) of Kearney, Ontario with impaired operation and exceed 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Ontario. The accused is to appear in Sundridge Court on Tuesday December 10, 2013.
