Cassandra ZWIEP & Tyler VANDEHOGEN – Trafficking Cocaine & Methamphetamine

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid several charges against a female driver and a male passenger following a traffic stop on October 30, 2014. Just after 2:00 p.m. a Huron OPP officer spotted a Ford passenger van travelling southbound on Gorrie Line near Amberley Road. The officer followed the vehicle and watched as the vehicle pulled into a business parking lot located on Highway 86. The officer checked the status of the licence plates and it was determined the plates were associated to a male that was currently wanted by police.

Police spoke with the occupants and discovered the wanted male was not in the vehicle. Additional investigation revealed the female driver was driving with a suspended driver’s licence. She was arrested and a search incident to arrest revealed both the female driver and male passenger were in possession of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. When the male was placed under arrest he was searched and the search revealed he was not only in possession of illegal drugs but he was also in possession of identification, a debit card and a credit card which was in contravention of his conditions of release.

As a result, 21 year old Cassandra ZWIEP from Wroxeter has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking – Cocaine, Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking – Methamphetamines, Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking – Marihuana and Driving While Under Suspension. She has since been released from custody with a court date scheduled on November 20, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Wingham.

25 year old Tyler VANDEHOGEN from Listowel has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking – Cocaine, Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking – Methamphetamines, Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking – Marihuana and five counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance. He has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 20, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Wingham.
