(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On December 22, 2014, West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a single motor vehicle collision in Henvey Township.
At approximately 3:55 p.m. a brown Honda vehicle was travelling northbound on Highway 69 and drove off the road causing massive damage to the vehicle. Further investigation revealed there was no evidence of braking and the vehicle crossed over the southbound lane entering the west ditch. The vehicle then struck a rock embankment and rolled onto its roof.
The driver, Carlos GUERRERO-AZOCAS, 35 years of age from Chile has been charged with and issued a Provincial Offences Notice for Careless Driving – motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
The four occupants, driver and three female occupants, ages 37, 25 and 1 were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. Highway 69 was reopened at 10:43 p.m. on the date of the collision.
