Car With Garage Door Opener Stolen – Next Day Opener Is Used To Steal More Stuff

(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On August 14, 2016 at approximately 8:45 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of break and enter to a garage storage unit located on a residential property on Concession 7 in Wellington North Township.

Unknown suspects entered the garage on August 14, 2016 sometime between midnight and 8:00 a.m. with no sign of forced entry. Investigation revealed that the same address had a 2005 dark blue Audi bearing Ontario licence plate BKZA 781 stolen the day before that was previously reported. There was an automatic garage door opener inside the Audi that is believed to have been used by the suspects to gain access to the garage when they returned the following day.

Stolen items include:

2002 red Honda CBR 1100 motorcycle licence 8638M

Excalibur Matrix crossbow

Stihl model 291 CB-E chainsaw

Various ammunition

OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit (FISU) attended the scene and is assisting uniform officers with the investigation.
