(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Friday November 29, 2013, shortly after 8 a.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to a collision involving a school bus and a car on Line 26 west of Road 119.
Investigation revealed that a school bus was stopped in the east bound lane of Line 26 in front of a rural laneway. A male high school student was waiting on the laneway to be picked up. An east bound Pontiac Grand Am operated by a male driver struck the rear right corner of the bus. The car spun around and struck the waiting student.
The student has been transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. None of the three students on the bus, or the bus driver sustained injuries. The driver of the Pontiac was also uninjured.
Investigation into this collision is ongoing, further details will be released when they become available.
