Car Collides With Pedestrian

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Tuesday April 09, 2013, shortly after 11 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) officers in Listowel were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Livingstone Ave. S., just south of Elma St. West.

Investigation revealed that a Toyota sedan was being driven north bound on Livingstone Ave S., when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street in a westerly direction.

The impact caused the pedestrian to be thrown onto the roadway. The pedestrian, a 56 year old female resident of Bluevale was transported to Listowel Memorial Hospital where she was treated for her minor injuries.

The 24 year old female driver of the Toyota, a resident of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with careless driving. She has been summonsed to appear in Stratford Court on May 14, 2013 to answer to this charge.

The roads were wet and it was raining at the time of the collision.
