(CAPE CROKER, ON) – On April 15, 2011 at 4:50 p.m., the Cape Croker Police Service received a report of an ATV crash along Prairie Road on Cape Croker First Nation Reserve. Officers arrived to find a male party lying on Prairie Road next to an ATV.
Preliminary investigation revealed that two ATV riders collided causing serious injuries to a 40 year old, Bentinck Township, Grey County man. He was taken by ambulance to the Wiarton Hospital for assessment and later air lifted to St Mike’s hospital in Toronto where he remains in serious, but stable condition.
This incident is being investigated by the Cape Croker Police Service with the assistance of the Western Region Criminal Operations Section of the Ontario Provincial Police as well as the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit, the OPP Traffic Collision Reconstruction unit and the Grey County OPP.
