(PERTH SOUTH, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Perth County detachment are currently investigating the theft of municipal election campaign signs in the Township of Perth South.
The theft occurred in the area of Whalen Line and Perth Road 151 on September 20, 2018. Several campaign signs removed by an unknown suspect have since been replaced.
Perth County OPP are reminding the public that the destruction or removal of election signs is a criminal offence which can result in criminal charges. Residents are asked to remain respectful of the democratic process and report any damage to campaign signs to police.
