(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On September 7, 2014 at approximately 12:00 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were patrolling in the area of Lake Road and Butler Avenue in Puslinch Township when they observed a male operating a dirt bike and acting suspicious. The officers observed the male get off of the motorcycle and start to push it down the road when he saw them.
The officers stopped the male and after speaking with him it was determined that he was prohibited from driving a motor vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the motorcycle was stolen out of Sudbury.
Mark STEFANIUK aged 53 of Cambridge has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 and Drive While Disqualified contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on October 31, 2014 to answer to the charges.
