(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while conducting RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) on 08 November 2015 on Birkett Lane in The County of Brant.
At approximately 1:45am police stopped a 2007 GMC Sierra pick-up truck as it entered the RIDE check.
Police determined through investigation that the driver had been drinking alcohol and the male driver was arrested.
OPP investigators have charged 37-year-old Calvin Lee MILLER of Haldimand County with driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date to answer to the charge. If convicted, the offender will be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
