(PEMBROKE, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Upper Ottawa Valley assisted by The Child Sexual Exploitation Unit have arrested and charged a Pembroke man following a internet luring investigation.
On August 26th , 2016 members the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, OPP Technological Crime Unit and the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP Detachment arrested a 19 year old male for Luring a Child by Means of Telecommunication. As a result of this investigation information was recovered that that involved a second female who is 16 years of age.
Calvin KIDD, age 19 years, of Pembroke Ontario is charged with two counts of Internet Luring, one count of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of making Child Pornography, and two counts of Breaching conditions on his bail (on previous charge).
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing. He is scheduled to appear on August 29, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke, Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
