Buzzed Driver Caught With Open Beer In Cup Holder

(BLUEWATER, ON) A 56 year old male driver from South Huron received a Liquor Licence Act ticket and a three day driver’s licence suspension following a traffic stop on June 22, 2013. Shortly after 1:00 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped a GMC Sierra pickup on Airport Line at Zurich-Hensall Road. The officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol from an open bottle of beer in the front seat cup holder. The driver later provided samples of breath which resulted in a warn range suspension.

His driver licence was suspended for a mandatory three days. As well, he was charged with Driving a Motor Vehicle with an Open Container of Alcohol.
