(ORO-MEDONTE, ON) – Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment Commander Staff Sergeant Veronica Eaton commends everyone involved for the successful outcome of the Burls Creek WayHome concert.
Over the course of the weekend, the traffic plan was deemed successful and cottage country traffic did not show any affects from the increase of traffic in the area. From Thursday until the early hours on Monday morning, the members responded to 38 calls for service at the Burl’s Creek property which included anything from 911 Pocket dials on cell phones to minor motor vehicle collisions and medical assists.
On Friday evening police conducted an investigation into allegations of theft. As a result a 20 year old male from Brampton was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. On Saturday morning members arrested a 20 year old male from Oakville and eventually charged him with Sexual Assault.
