(Madoc, ON) – On March 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway # 7 near Deloro Road in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake and the driver was found to have been consuming alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, the driver 64 year old John BURKE of Marmora, ON was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Driving With More Than 80mgs of Alcohol in Blood and Speeding. He received a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days. He will appear in Ontario Court of Justice – Belleville on April 7, 2016.
